Trying to create an atmosphere of a cozy Christmas can be difficult with all the hustle and bustle of the season. Sometimes we need to slow down and put scriptures at the front of our minds, reminding us about the reason for the celebration and enjoy the peace it has to offer.

Cozy Christmas and Jesus’ birth don’t seem to have much to do with one another at first glance. And yet, when we think of the manger scene, there is an element of “cozy” that you might feel.
Countries that experience cold winters definitely seek cozy or comfortable decorations because of the coming winter that erupts during the holiday season.
Cozy Christmas Scriptures
I love the idea of a cozy Christmas. In our old house we had a (non working) real wood fireplace. I loved the aesthetic it brought to the room and how it gave the room a coziness feel. With a tree, twinkling lights and my nativity set it brought about the kind of Christmas emotions I wanted to evoke.
Ones of peace, love and joy.
As I continue to build a Christian home, I want to put more scripture and meaning into my Christmas decorations. Trying to balance red plaid with the nativity scene can be difficult but I have found ways to make it work.

Fear not for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.
What is more cozy than good news filled with great joy! When creating a cozy atmosphere, we want to feel God’s presence and this time of year it is joyful!
Luke 2:14
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!
Peace on earth and peace in your home. God has blessed us with His son because He loves us! We want our aesthetic to be one that exudes joy and peace. It is busy and perhaps chaotic, but we also want to remember the gift we are enjoying this season.
Isaiah 9:6
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Bring Jesus into your home, all of Him. The Wonderful Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace!
Teach your children about who He is, more than just a baby in the straw but our Saviour. Bring this verse into your decor to remind everyone who was born in the manger and who He became!
Matthew 2:10
When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.
When was the last time you saw something and rejoiced exceedingly about it? I think sometimes we hear the Christmas story so often we forget about the true nature behind the excitement.
The wise men were going to meet a King, not only that, they understood the significance of the signs surrounding him. The star caused them to rejoice because that meant they were in the presence of Jesus.
Even as a baby lying in a manger He held the esteem of one who would be great.
