As a Christian mom I have experienced some incredibly joyful times with my children and incredibly chaotic times. Raising Christian humans is difficult, and easy all at the same time. There is no greater joy for a mom than to hear her children talk about God or offer to pray before a meal. So to all the moms raising little Christian people, this is for you!
“Does Jesus have toys in Heaven? I better call him and ask if he does.”
“Does God have a backyard at His house?”
“Why can’t I see God?”
Questions my kids ask.
And I am reminded about the joyful chaos that raising Christian humans is about. The mind of a child is truly wonderful. They are trying to understand the world around them, including who their Heavenly Father is.
Share with a friend to remind them of the joy in raising Christian humans!

God is complex. On one hand, it is a very simple fact that He loves us, but at the same time He also is a God whom we fear, not because He is scary but because He is all powerful.
Thus, teaching our children about God is easy and difficult at the same time.
What a joy it is to share the love of our saviour with them. To thank God for all He has done, for the sun shining in the sky and for the food we have to eat. And when we hear our children singing Bible songs or repeating verses to themselves our hearts smile and we whisper yet another word of thanks to God.
But it is also chaotic, trying to explain to our children why God instructed people to kill others in the Bible. Or why some people get sick and die and why others don’t. The questions that we don’t have answers for, or the answers are deeper than our children will be able to understand.
Our minds race as we try to come up with an answer and hope we have explained things in a satisfactory way for them.
And yet at the end of the day, if they go to bed knowing their Heavenly Father loves them, then we have accomplished the job God has set out for us.

Ephesians 3:18
The Joyful Chaos of Raising Christian Humans
It is a joyful chaos we as Christian moms get to experience. The joyful times of raising little people for God, to shine their lights and sometimes I think children shine brighter than anyone else.
And then the chaos when that little light starts running all over the place, climbing the walls and colouring on the chairs.

I think God intended it to be this way. He reminds us through our children about how much He loves us. He reminds us that our Mama Bear feelings of love are the same that He feels about us. The patience and forgiveness we extend to our children is the same He offers to us. That when we seek His wisdom and grace for our lives, we are extending that to our children.
Raising Christian humans isn’t always easy when we know the dangers that lurk in the shadows. But we also know that fear has no place in our lives or our homes because God is our great provider and He will care for us.
So be that Christian homemaker Mama. Keep praying those prayers over your home. Keep raising those (tiny) Christian humans so that they see Jesus through you. Keep reading your Bible and digging into God’s word.
Find rest in His presence continually. Enjoy being the wildflower He created you to be.
You don’t have to be perfect, because that is not what God asks of you. He asks that you draw near to Him, that you solidify your motherhood journey through Him and build a Christian home where He is present.
