Looking for a way to record the things you are thankful for in a decorative way this Thanksgiving? Grab this free Thanksgiving printable that is ready for you to print, cut and record the things you are giving thanks for!

I love thanksgiving. It’s a pretty easy holiday, just requires cooking and baking. It’s a day (or weekend) to enjoy the people and things that are important to us. And another opportunity to do some (more) decorating!
Part of building a Christian home is adding elements into our space that remind of the good things we have. Thanksgiving is a time when we are able to give thanks for all we have and so it is the perfect opportunity to write those thanksgivings down.
Thanksgiving Decor!
Why not get your kids involved with the decorating with this free printable banner! Cut out the circles and then have them fill it in with something they are thankful for (or you can write what they say). You can get some string and clothes pins from the dollar store to hang it up or leave them at plates for Thanksgiving dinner.

This banner can be done as the days lead up to thanksgiving, maybe have your kids write something different everyday. You could have a week of thanks and then discuss it at your thanksgiving dinner!
And for teachers, homeschoolers, Sunday School teachers, youth leaders…anyone needing an activity to get kids thinking about being thankful, use these!
It’s good to see and talk about what others are thankful for. Kids sometimes have trouble coming up with ideas, especially pre teens and teenagers. There’s a social factor involved (“should I be thankful for my uncool family?” Or “I’m not good at anything so I can’t be thankful”). Teach kids that a thankful heart is a happy heart (and yes I pulled that from the Veggie Tales song). It’s true though! So get them involved, have them write some things down so they can reflect on them for the week!

E is still too young to grasp the concept of Thanksgiving but he has things he loves, which is a start. I thought about writing cars, trucks, tractors and diggers on our banner because they’re currently his favourite things, but I left them off for now. He’s still young but ultimately we want him to be an individual who is thankful and grateful for the things he has!
