What do you believe? Do you trust the Bible and the word’s God has spoken? Or are you influenced by the world around you? Stand firm in God’s truths and do not be shaken by what others may say!

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
Perhaps you’ve heard the quote “You are what you eat.” In other words, you need to fill your physical body with good food. If you sustain yourself on French fries, chocolate and lattes, you likely will end up with some undesirable health condition.
But if you eat fruits and vegetables and whole-grain bread, you provide your body with the fuel it needs to thrive.
So is true with God.
You are what you believe.
C.S. Lewis
This quote is from C.S. Lewis is short but sweet. His words ring true in so many ways. You are what you believe.
If your belief is in the world, the things you see and do, that is what you become. You become a product of what you hold most dear.
Where Is Your Focus?
If your focus is on tangible items, if you believe in things that are not of the light, if you value distractions, that is what you become. Instead you need to focus on God. Believe in his salvation. Value his love.
This can be hard when we live in a world that tells us God isn’t worth our time. When we are told the only way we can be happy is if we buy more or make more money. Our worth is displayed in our driveway or the logo on our shirt.
That’s not how God values you though. And you need to believe that.
What Do You Believe?
As a mom, believe that you are capable of your job. That you can love your children unconditionally and nurture them. God called you to be a mother and you can do it. It’s hard, but we know if we are steeped in God’s word and trust His truth we can accomplish amazing things.
For every other role we play in society in our workplace and recreation, our beliefs show through. The way we talk, the words we use, our mannerisms, people see God’s light in us. Because you are what you believe.
Your mindset, your focus changes the way in which you interact. There is a distinct way that Christians behave because they are Christ-like. They have put their trust in a Mighty Saviour and this becomes apparent in how they treat other people, how they raise their families and how they carry themselves as individuals.
So what do you believe? Are you called by name? Are you forgiven? Are you saved by grace? If you answer yes, then live the life that resembles that. Focus on God, embrace His love and fill every corner of your home with his light. Be what you believe.
