“What’s in the cooker?” That’s what my toddler calls the bread maker. I love how kids use what vocabulary they have to describe their world. Especially when Grandma has a garbage can that looks just like a “cooker” and she must be making bread on the floor!
I haven’t made bread in a while so it was a novelty when it came out the other day.
I don’t have space (yet) in my kitchen to store the bread maker so I haven’t used it much. It’s currently on a shelf in the basement. Accessible but a pain to get out. That being said, I forgot how easy it is to make bread and how yummy fresh bread can be!
I had pulled it out for pizza dough, then the next day decided to do fresh bread too!
Now that winter has set in I think we all could use a good bread recipe. Light and fluffy, with a crust that isn’t too hard or soft. Perfect for a chilly day.
This recipe makes a fantastic loaf. I froze half of it and it makes a great sandwich once defrosted!
I used a recipe from Adamant Kitchen. The main change I made was to add whole wheat flour. You can swap it out for all purposes if you prefer!
Otherwise, this is so easy to make. The hardest part is waiting for it to cool so you can cut and eat it! If you need a foolproof bread recipe, try this one!
