Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and He helps me.
For the days when your child needs reminded who they can trust ALWAYS and who will help them…pack Psalm 28:7!
Joshua 1:9
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.
How often do children feel afraid or discouraged by something? Especially at school when there are things they are learning how to do. Let them know that God will give them strength and courage.
Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart and mind for everything you do flows from it.
This is such an important verse. I go into detail about teaching your children media literacy from a Christian perspective and this verse speaks to that. We want our children to remember to guard their hearts and minds. If they hear or see something that is unbiblical, they should come home and talk to mum and dad about it.
The world is full of wayward things and while schools may (or may not) have good intentions, as Christians we don’t want our children believing everything society wants children to believe. Teach your children it’s okay to question things if it goes against what they have learned at home or church. It’s better they guard their hearts and minds!

Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons (and daughters) of God.
God asks that we make peace with one another. We should seek to protect those who need protecting but it is not our job to create division or strife. We should always seek a peaceful resolution for problems.
For some children this will come naturally, but for other’s, it can be harder. If your child is one who struggles with getting along with others, send this verse with them. Tell them that God wants them to find a way to get along with their peers, to make peace when there is a disagreement and live in harmony with others.
2 Timothy 1:7
God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
I love this verse for so many reasons. Not only does it tell us not to be afraid (because God does not give a spirit of fear) but instead we have power, love and self-control.
Sending scriptures to school means arming your children with the knowledge that they go into the building with God’s power and love! And He also provides them with self-control.

Memorize Scriptures for School
Help your child memorize scriptures so they can repeat them to themselves over the course of the day.
